Streamwood High School Math

It is our mission to strive to engage in the teaching and learning of mathematics that will challenge learners to develop sound reasoning, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and critical thinking skills necessary to succeed in a constantly changing world. Our goal is to provide students with a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics with an interdisciplinary approach.  We foster diverse students to become critical thinkers in a global society and strive for success in their STEM education.

To graduate from Streamwood High school, students are required to complete 3 years of math.  Algebra 1, a one-year class with geometry content, and algebra 2.  Multiple elective math classes are available

Mathematics is the one true universal language.  It ties together all peoples, nations, and cultures, and is increasingly more relevant, as the world increases its dependence on science and technology.  All of our teachers are deeply passionate about mathematics and teaching and are dedicated to all of their students, at every step of their mathematics education.
