SPEECH TEAM
-
Sponsor: Rebecca Weihofen
Time and Place: After school, October-February, Black Box or F305
Speech Team, also known as Forensics, and Individual Events, is an IHSA-recognized activity in which students compete in a variety of different categories that involve performing and public speaking. Some acting categories require you to work with a partner, while others require you to memorize a comedic or dramatic scene and play all of the parts. Some of the speaking events require you to perform famous speeches, write speeches on your own, or take a topic and write a speech right at the tournament on the spot. Practices take place after school throughout the week. Tournaments are every Saturday from late October - February. We travel to and compete against schools across Illinois.
Please contact Rebecca Weihofen, if you are interested in being a part of the Speech Team.
