This course provides support for students to strengthen literacy skills and strategies necessary for academic coursework and real world application. Students are given opportunities and guidance in literacy with a focus on engagement, fluency, comprehension and word analysis, which promotes the transference of reading strategies to the content areas. Overall, this course helps encourage students to become lifelong readers.
