Freshman Connection

We are Maroon Strong!

• U-46 will host the Freshman Connection for all students who will be first-time freshmen in a U-46 high school for the 2024-25 school year. The Freshman Connection is a two-day voluntary in-person program that will be hosted at each comprehensive high school. Students who register will attend programming at the high school where they will be enrolled for the 2024-25 school year. No fees are required, and transportation will be provided for eligible students. 

  This in-person program will feature community and team-building activities aligned to social-emotional learning standards and help familiarize freshmen with their teachers, their new buildings, and high school schedules. Students will participate in a variety of activities for critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication.

   

  Registration dates: March 11- May 30, 2024. Transportation will be provided for eligible students if they are registered by May 30.  Students may register late by contacting Ryan Smith, AP of Freshman Success, by calling 847-888-5100 ext. 5133 or by emailing ryansmith@u-46.org
