An internship is a short-term job or position that people can take as a way to learn about a job, field, or career. Internships can be paid or unpaid. They may or may not also offer academic credit. Anyone who has been in a class taught by a student teacher has been around someone going though an internship - that's what your student teacher is doing! Operation HomePort. Looking for Interns to work in Child Development Centers on US Navy bases around the country, and in select locations overseas, such as Italy, Spain, Japan, South Korea, and others.
