Childcare

  • Childcare Options During Distance Learning The District, in collaboration with local agencies and organizations, is offering a variety of childcare opportunities to support families during our Distance Learning Program.

In partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin, childcare for U-46 students in kindergarten through 8th grade will be offered at Elgin, Larkin, South Elgin, Streamwood, and Bartlett High Schools as well as at the organization’s Elgin Clubhouse, 355 Dundee Ave. Details can be found at http://www.bgcelgin.org/clubinfo or by calling 847-608-5017.

Right at School, U-46’s before- and after-care provider, will offer childcare for U-46 students in kindergarten through 6th grade at Coleman Elementary and Hilltop Elementary in Elgin; Sycamore Trails Elementary and Bartlett Elementary in Bartlett; and Fox Meadow Elementary in South Elgin. Details regarding the half- and full-day programs being offered through Right at School can be found by calling 855-287-2466, or following the following links:

Opportunities are available to all U-46 students, regardless of the school they attend.

Right At School has partnered with the state of Illinois to provide financial assistance for U-46 families using the program.

If parents have received financial assistance in the past, it is quick and easy to transfer your approval to our programs. And if you have never received assistance before, Right at School will provide all the information you need to know to get the application process started through the state.
