In 2014, a Strategic Plan Steering Committee made up of staff, parents and community members put pencil to paper and began working on establishing a new vision for School District U-46. Nearly a year later, in April 2015, the Board of Education approved a new U-46 Strategic Plan featuring four aspirations and eight related priorities. Since then, the Strategic Plan Steering Committee developed measurable goals to meet the aspirations and priorities over the next several years.
The document below reflects the vision and values of employees, parents, students and community members who participated in developing this plan. We will continue to share our progress as together we work to turn this plan into reality for our community, our staff and, most importantly, our 40,000 kindergarten through twelfth-grade students and their families.
