Mr. Tony Sanders

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the District and ensures that schools and the District meet the expectations, policies and plans of the District, Board of Education, and state and federal agencies. Responsible for an annual half-billion dollar budget that helps support a total 4,518 Full-Time Equivalent staff, including about 2,500 educators. The District serves more than 38,000 pre-kindergartners through 12th graders in their academic growth as they prepare for college and careers. The superintendent is responsible for the implementation of Board of Education policy; the alignment of resources to the Board-approved Strategic Plan; demonstrating progress towards the goals established in the Accountability Plan for Continuous Improvement; and the review and implementation of the District’s Annual Planning Cycle.

Dr. Suzanne Johnson - Deputy Superintendent of Instruction

Oversees Curriculum and Instruction, Specialized Student Services, English Language Learners, Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Early Learners Initiatives, and Assessment and Accountability, as well the Teacher Mentor Program and Professional Growth and Development. Coordinates initiatives for grades Pre-K through 12th to ensure that students are on track to succeed in college and careers. Leads planning and implementation of educational services and initiatives to support engaging teaching and learning environments. Named the Kane County "Administrator of the Year" in 2017.

Ms. Lela Majstorovic - Assistant Superintendent of Schools

Responsible for the strategic development and implementation of the District’s education and special programs through the supervision, support, and evaluation of the Executive Directors of Schools. Provides instructional leadership support to Directors and Principals. Monitors the development, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives, policies, and leadership to support student success and strong parental engagement.

Dr. Josh Carpenter - Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning

Ms. Ann Chan - Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources

Oversees Human Resources initiatives and maintains policies and practices to ensure that U-46 recruits, retains, develops and recognizes a high-quality workforce. Supervises and assists in the development and assessment of the Teacher Effectiveness programs, which includes the Teacher Appraisal Plan, and Peer Assistance and Review. Develops and implements quality professional development of employees.

Dr. Teresa Lance - Assistant Superintendent for Equity and Innovation

Mr. Brian Lindholm - Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation and assessment of progress of the initiatives in School District U-46. Within the organizational structure, he is responsible for monitoring the work of cross-functional teams charged with the work of aligning all instructional and operational systems to support the academic success of all students. Provides expertise, guidance, and support around the organizational structure, as well as change and development strategies with a focus on project management. Will serve as a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet advising district leadership regarding current and future issues. Acts as the primary Advisor to the Superintendent regarding day-to-day operational matters. Provides support for any related special projects under the supervision of, and assigned by, the Superintendent.

Ms. Trisha A. Olson - Chief Legal Counsel

Provides legal counsel to the Superintendent, the Board of Education and other administration. Assists the Superintendent and the Board of Education in the legal performance of their duties. Directs and coordinates labor and employee relations. Assists in negotiations of labor contracts with the District bargaining units. Coordinates and provides the legal services required by the District.
