Dr. Suzanne Johnson, Superintendent

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the District and ensures that schools and the District meet the expectations, policies, and plans of the District, Board of Education, and state and federal agencies. Responsible for an annual half-billion dollar budget that helps support more than 4,500 Full-Time Equivalent staff, including about 2,500 educators. The District serves approximately 35,000 pre-kindergartners through 12th graders in their academic growth as they prepare for college and careers. The superintendent is responsible for the implementation of Board of Education policy; the alignment of resources to the Board-approved Strategic Plan; demonstrating progress towards the goals established in the Accountability Plan for Continuous Improvement; and the review and implementation of the District’s Annual Planning Cycle.

Mr. Brian Lindholm - Chief of Staff

Responsible for the day-to-day implementation and progress assessment of the initiatives in School District U-46. Monitors the work of cross-functional teams charged with the work of aligning all instructional and operational systems to support the academic success of all students. Provides expert guidance on organizational structure, change strategies, project management, and advise the Superintendent on day-to-day operations.

Ms. Lela Majstorovic - Deputy Superintendent of Instruction

Directs and supervises the Instructional Assistant Superintendents who are the direct supervisors of principals and instructional Executive Directors and Directors and has primary authority and accountability for the district’s academic performance of all schools and programs. Assists the Superintendent in directing and leading the District’s overall strategic direction to reach all its objectives and goals.

Dr. Ann Williams - Deputy Superintendent of Operations

Oversees Financial Services, Information Services, Business Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Transportation and Plant Operations Departments. Acts as the primary resource and internal operation advisor to the Board of Education and District staff. Serves as the treasurer of the Board of Education.

Ms. Trisha A. Olson - Chief Legal Officer

Provides legal counsel to the Superintendent, the Board of Education and other administration. Assists the Superintendent and the Board of Education in the legal performance of their duties. Directs and coordinates labor and employee relations. Assists in negotiations of labor contracts with the District bargaining units. Coordinates and provides the legal services required by the District.

Dr. Leatrice Satterwhite - Assistant Superintendent of Equity and Innovation

Leads equity work districtwide and the oversight of innovative strategies and programs under the departments of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Multilingual and Multicultural Education, Post-Secondary Success, and Specialized Student Services. Dr. Frank Williams - Assistant Superintendent of Finance

Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of business systems, processes and procedures, and for enhancing staff efficiency to effectively manage District fiscal resources and ensure integrity of detailed financial data. Provide supervision, training, and support for accounting, grants management, payroll, procurement and accounts payable staff.

Dr. Annette Acevedo - Assistant Superintendent of Schools

Responsible for the strategic development and implementation of the District’s education and special programs through the supervision, support, and evaluation of the Executive Directors of Schools. Provides instructional leadership support to Directors and Principals. Monitors the development, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives, policies, and leadership to support student success and strong parental engagement.

Mr. Brian Tennison - Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning

Assist the Deputy Superintendent of Instruction by providing leadership and vision in the ongoing establishment of goals, planning, development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional programs in the District. Leads the work to increase student achievement to ensure students are ready for college or the workforce and promote innovative, aligned, and comprehensive educational initiatives that result in engaging and highly supportive teaching and learning environments.

Ms. Ericka Brown - Internal Auditor

Develops and monitors internal controls to ensure the accuracy of state and federal fiscal requirements and budget guidelines. Analyzes costs of programs and services, audits and evaluates contracts for cost-effectiveness, and provides analytical information as may be required by administrative and program personnel and/or regulatory agencies.
