Summer Connection

More than 2,000 students took part in the 2022 Summer Connection program.  

School District U-46 is excited to offer a variety of programs again in the 2023 summer for incoming kindergarten through 12th grade students. The U-46 Summer Connection in-person learning opportunities will provide students and faculty time to connect and prepare for a new school year. 

The 2023 Summer Connection will offer the following:

• Traditional Elementary Summer School for invited incoming kindergarten through 6th grade students 
• Middle School Summer Enrichment for current 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students 
• Traditional High School Summer School for current 9th through 12th grade students 
• Middle School Experience for incoming 7th grade students (current 6th graders)
• Freshman Connection for incoming 9th grade students (current 8th graders)
• College Jumpstart for rising seniors (current 11th graders)
• Summer Community Programs for incoming 1st through 6th grade students  - details coming in April
• Extended School Year for eligible students
• Brother's Rise Up for selected students - details coming soon
• Gifted programming for selected students - details coming soon
• Summer Athletic Camps - details coming soon 
• An internship program for incoming seniors - details coming soon
