Freshman Curriculum Showcase

  • Students in 9th grade and their parents or guardians are invited to attend the “Freshmen Curriculum Showcase” being held Oct. 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This is an important opportunity for 9th-grade students to learn more about their options before course registration begins for the 2023-24 school year. Information will be presented on high-wage/high-demand career fields such as automotive technician, business and information technology, media and digital arts, early childhood education, engineering, healthcare, precision manufacturing, veterinary assistant, and welding.

This event is being hosted by the Northern Kane County Regional Vocational System and the Alignment Collaborative for Education, in partnership with local school districts including U-46.

For planning purposes, advance registration is required via this Google Form located at info.u-46.org/FreshmenShowcase. Español a info.u-46.org/FreshmenShowcase-SPN

That form also includes the meeting link needed to join the introductory session. After that, participants will break into smaller groups to focus on specific educational pathways. A group for Spanish-speaking families will be available.
