Content: A full year course designed to introduce students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings and other animals. The course aims to provide students with a learning experience equivalent to that obtained in a typical, one semester introductory college psychology course. Course work offers a general study of terms and concepts that psychologists, use as well as concentration on theories of learning development, personality, emotions, feeling, self-awareness, problems of the unconscious, and social psychology. Students will be strongly encouraged to take the AP Psychology and the conclusion of the course.
Activities: Analytical reading and writing; problem-solving; individual and group projects and presentations; research; computer applications; discussion/debate; exams.
