Annual Proportionate Share Meeting - May 6, 2020

  • The Specialized Student Services Department at School District U-46 will host the annual Proportionate Share Meeting online, as mandated annually by the Illinois State Board of Education. The meeting will take place via Zoom Meeting, a free, online conference-based software, at 1:30 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. About Specialized Student Services

  • The Specialized Student Services department includes Special Education, 504 Plans, and Health Services.
    School District U-46 provides a free appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment and necessary related services to all children with disabilities enrolled in the District, as required by the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans With Disabilities Act.

    For students eligible for services under IDEA, the District follows procedures for identification, evaluation, placement, and delivery of services to children with disabilities provided in the Illinois State Board of Education’s Special Education rules.
