ELL Special Education Programs

U-46 special education offers a full range of ELL special education programming and services for students identified as both ELL and special education from early childhood through high school. These comprehensive services are implemented across all special education disabilities. The ELL special education programs are designed to provide individualized education instructional services and needs in their native language and/ or Sheltered English instruction. The ELL special education programs are at various sites throughout the U-46 district.  

Exceptional Needs Program: 

This program serves students with cognitive challenges to moderate to severe range. The student within the program often need medical, physical, verbal, and intellectual supports. Students in the program are provided an alternative functional curriculum. The goal for the program is for students to develop functional independent life skills based on individual student ability.
