Scholarships for the U-46 Class of 2023
Seniors, it is time to start thinking about scholarships. The U-46 Educational Foundation manages many scholarships. Please click the scholarship link below to see if you qualify for any of these great opportunities.
-
1. Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. After submitting the FAFSA, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR). Your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) listed on your Student Aid Report (SAR) will help determine your financial need for a scholarship. Financial need is a deciding factor for some of our scholarships.
2. Give yourself (and others!) plenty of time to complete your scholarship applications. Many scholarship applications require essays and/or letters of recommendation. Keep track of scholarship deadlines, and give yourself plenty of time to complete your application. If anyone is helping you with an application by writing you a letter of recommendation, give those people ample time to respond to your request.
3. Start thinking about your school "resume.” Make a list of all of your extracurricular activities, volunteer activities, and any paid employment. Note any leadership roles you had or any awards you won. There is a great example below that might help you generate ideas.

All scholarships using the U-46 Educational Foundation Online Scholarship Application require you to write a letter in which you argue why the scholarship should be given to you. Highlight some of the obstacles you have faced as a student in U-46 and explain how these life experiences have shaped your understanding of why pursuing post-secondary education is critical for future success.
In addition, many scholarships using this application require additional essay or short answer questions.
