What is the most important thing you learned in high school?

An important and valuable lesson that I learned in high school is the act of how to stay accountable in all my classes and follow through when having an issue relating to my grades.

What is your favorite high school memory?

Last year’s caring support of teachers, classmates, and teammates after coming back from my race in Taicang, China.

What is your best advice to future first-generation students?

Become a tree. Represent your roots, stand your ground and don’t let anything destroy you!

What is a challenge that you have overcome as a first-generation college student?

Having to take initiative on my own and the discipline to fight for my goals.

What does it mean to you to receive the Superintendent’s Scholarship?

This Superintendent’s Scholarship means the recognition for my hard work with representation for the U-46 community and my family.
