What is the most important thing you learned in high school?

It is not worth your time to worry about what other people are doing or thinking.

What is your favorite high school memory?

This year our scholastic bowl team won conference and got second place in regionals. We did not really expect to go that far, so it was super exciting with every round that we made it past.

What was your favorite class or learning experience?

Even though I am going into other subjects, my favorite class so far has been AP Human Geography. I really enjoyed the teacher and the subject was something new and interesting for me.

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen?

It is easy to slack off and just try to ride through high school doing the bare minimum. My advice would be to not do that. Even if you don´t plan on going to college, it is better to get the work ethic down now. If you do plan on applying for higher education, colleges would much prefer to see that you actually tried in high school.

What or who do you account for your academic success and ranking in the top 2 percent of your senior class?

When I first found out that I was in the top of my class, I just decided to try my best to not drop down in rank. I ended up continuing to get good grades, as I had that internal drive to study harder.
