What school will you be attending in the fall?
Loras College.

Political science.

What is the most important thing you learned in high school?
I learned a lot about how to properly manage my time by balancing school, sports, and social activities.

What is your favorite high school memory?
There isn’t one specific memory that sticks out, but definitely meeting lifelong friends through school and sports.

What was your favorite class or learning experience?
My favorite class was math during freshman and sophomore year. My teacher, Mr. Hayes, taught me not only a lot about the subject - but also about how to be a great person and student.

Share your best advice for incoming freshmen.
My best advice would be - learn how to balance fun and school. It’s not always easy and you will make mistakes, but as long as you put school first and allow yourself some time for fun, high school will be everything you want it to be. Cherish it because it truly does fly by.

What or who do you account for your academic success and ranking in the top 2 percent of your senior class?
I definitely attribute a large portion of it to my teachers. My teachers from freshman year all the way to senior year always put students first. They provided help when I needed it for not only school, but life in general. They made me want to work hard for them because they cared about me. Without that I don’t know how I would’ve done.

What are you learning about yourself and the world as we collectively face this global pandemic?
I’m learning how strong our generation truly is. I know a bunch of people picking up new hobbies, working, preparing for college, etc. Not only do I know we will survive this pandemic, but we will come out stronger than ever.
