What school will you be attending in the fall?
Valparaiso

Major/minor?
Electrical Engineering major.

What is the most important thing you learned in high school?
I learned that balance in life is very important. Whether it comes to school, sports, religion, family, or friends, balance is key to having less stress and being more happy in life.

What was your favorite class or learning experience?
My favorite class was band. While it was hard work at times, I made some of my best friends and was able to enjoy playing the saxophone while being with my friends.

Share your best advice for incoming freshmen.
My advice for incoming freshmen is to manage your time and always make time for your friends and family. Studying and working hard in school is important too, but high school is much more enjoyable when you spend time with the people you like.

What or who do you account for your academic success and ranking in the top 2 percent of your senior class?
I want to thank my teachers for always challenging me and supporting my growth throughout high school. I also want to thank my parents who have guided and supported me throughout all the ups and downs of my education. It means the world to me, and I would not be the person I am today without them.

What are you learning about yourself and the world as we collectively face this global pandemic?
As we all collectively face this pandemic, I realize that life is not going to be straightforward or as simple as I would like it to be. Everyday, I have to find the strength in me to keep pushing forward in order to grow into the person I want to be.
