What is the most important thing you learned in high school?
One of the most important things I learned in high school was to surround myself with people who challenge, motivate, and make me laugh. The people I chose to be close with defined my high school experience and I couldn't be more grateful.

What is your favorite high school memory?
My favorite high school memory was my sophomore year trip to Florida over spring break. Larkin High School allowed me to go to Disney World and Orlando Studios with my best friends through our Visual and Performing Arts Academy.

What was your favorite class or learning experience?
Art class through the magnet academy. It helped me grow and explore my creativity as an artist.

Share your best advice for incoming freshmen.
Be sure to work hard from the first day of your freshman year to the last day of your senior year. Your unweighted GPA is a large factor in how universities award scholarships and determine admittance.

What or who do you account for your academic success and ranking in the top 2 percent of your senior class?
I account my academic success to my parents, because throughout my life they have motivated me and pushed me to strive for excellence. They were the ones who held me accountable and helped me when I needed it. I couldn't have achieved ranking in the top 2 percent of my senior class without them.

What are you learning about yourself and the world as we collectively face this global pandemic?
I'm learning how resilient we are as a nation and a global community. The efforts worldwide to slow and prevent the spread of this virus has inspired me to work harder on what I truly care about and to find solutions to what I can control. I'm learning that the things and people we care most about are worth making sacrifices to protect.
