What school will you be attending in the fall?
Northwestern University.

Major/minor?
Creative Writing.

What is the most important thing you learned in high school?
If you have dedicated, passionate teachers, and you are willing to bombard them with questions - even the toughest classes turn into very rewarding experiences.

What is your favorite high school memory?
My favorite high school memory is winning Conference two years in a row with an awesome Scholastic Bowl team.

What was your favorite class or learning experience?
AP U.S. History with Mr. Devine and AP U.S. Government with Ms. Randle.

Share your best advice for incoming freshmen.
Take advantage of your teachers: if you don't understand something at first, ask them questions until you do.

What or who do you account for your academic success and ranking in the top 2 percent of your senior class?
I owe it to my teachers for bearing with me as I grilled them with questions for four years, and to my parents (and siblings) for dragging me away from homework when I most needed it to keep me sane.

What are you learning about yourself and the world as we collectively face this global pandemic?
There's so much to do even at home; the days go by even faster than they did at school. Home is my first school, and it feels good to be back. But I also know that there's so much more going on outside of my protective little bubble, and not everyone is able to relax and enjoy family and time for themselves. I have a lot to be thankful for, because everything I need is right here with me.
