What are your post-high school plans?

In the fall, I will be attending Elgin Community College.

What is the most important thing you learned in high school?

I am going into college as undecided, since I'm not exactly sure what I want to do with my life yet.

What is your favorite high school memory?

My favorite high school memory was playing volleyball in the Sabre Smackdown, my sophomore year!

What was your favorite class or learning experience?

My favorite class was Intro to Law, with Mr. Sandrik. I took it my freshman year and even though I don't plan on doing anything with law, it was still a very fun and informative class.

Share your best advice for incoming freshmen:

Get involved with clubs or sports! I wish I had done more during high school, but I was scared to join new groups. Everyone is in the same boat as you, so don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and try new things!

What or who do you acknowledge for your academic success, and ranking in the top 2 percent of your senior class?

I worked very hard on everything, so I acknowledge my own determination for my academic success. Although, I would also love to acknowledge my guidance counselor, Mrs. Phillips, as she helped me figure a lot of things out and was overall just outstanding.

What life lessons or observations have you gained about yourself, and the world, during the 2020-21 school year?

Procrastination is only a short-term satisfaction. It is better to get things done earlier rather than later, so that you have time to focus on yourself and things you love.
