What are your post-high school plans?
I will be attending University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and studying computer science.
What is the most important thing you learned in high school?
The most important thing I learned in high school is that there is no reason to procrastinate, it is better get one's work done early, rather than waiting to complete and submit it last minute. Eliminating procrastination also helps eliminate the stress that comes with procrastination.
What is your favorite high school memory?
My favorite high school memory was the yearly Chinese class fieldtrip to Chinatown.
What was your favorite class or learning experience?
My favorite class was Global Studies, because our projects were always unique. We would also always delve into discussions about current events around the world, and allowed for everyone to share their opinion on the subject.
Share your best advice for incoming freshmen:
Be yourself, there is no reason to change who you are just to fit in. Stay up to date with your assignments, and don't be afraid to ask questions if you need help, as teachers are there to assist you in learning.
What or who do you acknowledge for your academic success, and ranking in the top 2 percent of your senior class?
What life lessons or observations have you gained about yourself, and the world, during the 2020-21 school year?
An observation during this school year is that I miss going into school, and interacting with friends face-to-face.
