Community Advisory Council

For more than a half century, community and parent volunteers that live within Illinois School District U-46 boundaries have served as liaisons between their schools, the CAC, and the school district. We identify our children’s needs and bring ideas to the District. CAC representatives attend monthly meetings and are strongly encouraged to join a committee.

The goal of the CAC is to advise and assist the Board of Education and Administration in the ongoing effort to provide the best possible educational opportunities for the students of School District U-46. As a member of the Community Advisory Council, you have the opportunity to positively impact our school district’s future.

Each District U-46 school can have up to five registered representatives on the CAC. If you would like to volunteer as a CAC representative, please contact the principal at one of the schools in your attendance zone. You may also apply for “At-Large-Membership” by calling the District’s School & Community Relations Office at (847) 888-5000 ext. 5300.
